Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, May 19, Mrs. Emily Marie Peterson, 93, wife to the late Roscoe P. Peterson.

Mrs. Peterson was a native of Valdosta but has lived in Martinez for several years. She was a nursing aide at Gracewood State School and Hospital for a number of years.

Family members include her sons: Larry Peterson and wife Patricia of Thomson, GA, Danny Peterson of Lanett, AL; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and her sister: Imogene Cone of Panama City, FL.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Martinez Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Winsett officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the great grandsons, Mitchell Gibson, Wil Hogan, and the Deacons of Martinez Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Sunday beginning at 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the church.
