Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, July 7, 2009, Mrs. Emily Powell Ford, 95, wife of the late Leon Edward Ford.

Mrs. Ford retired as a teller at the age of 80, after 44 years of service with the Georgia Railroad Bank, C & S Bank and 1st Union. She loved the Lord with all her heart.

Family members include her daughter: Carole Ford Stafford and husband DeWitt of Augusta; grandchildren: Stephanie Stafford of Augusta and Stacie Stafford Czajka and husband Bradley of Aiken.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 10, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in Westview Cemetery with Dr. Don Manning and Rev. Charlie Cockran officiating.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church Restoration Fund, 629 Greene St., Augusta, GA 30901.
