Ernest O. “Buddy” Skinner

Augusta, GA – Ernest Otis Skinner, Jr. entered into rest Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was born in Augusta in 1925. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest O. Skinner, Sr. and Mary Magruder Skinner; his wife: Charlotte Nelson Skinner; brother: Harold S. Skinner, and sister: Catherine Skinner Plunkett.

He is survived by a daughter: Sandy Skinner Williams (David) and granddaughter: Kaylee Jordan Hanchey of Martinez, GA; five nieces and nephews and their children.

Buddy was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County, and he served in the Georgia State Guard during World War II. He was a member of Warren Baptist Church. Buddy was active in auto sales and management for many years and retired as a sales manager for Pontiac Master.

The graveside service will be Tuesday, January 2, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
