Erving H. Pangborn

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, May 29, 2010, Mr. Erving H. “Papa” Pangborn, 92, husband of the late Pauline “Nana” Baltrusaitis Pangborn.
Mr. Erving Pangborn is a longtime resident of the Augusta area. He served his country in the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class with Military Police, and retired after 21 years. He worked for E-Z-GO Golf Carts as a Production Manager and retired after 10 years. Mr. Pangborn was recognized as the Oldest Volunteer at the Golden Harvest Food Bank, where he has been dedicating time for the past two years.
Family members include: nine grandchildren: Mark Hernlen (Amelia) of Blythe, Georgia, Kathleen Hernlen of Martinez, John Hernlen of Augusta, Karen Hernlen of Blythe, Kelly Canady (Donnie) of Aiken, South Carolina, Joel Pangborn (Patricia) of Augusta, Lorri Moffatt (Bryan) of Augusta, Mary Bullard (Daryl) of Winfield, Georgia, Joy Barr (Mike) of Augusta; thirteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a sister: Marion Pangborn of Goose Rocks Beach, Maine. Mr. Pangborn was preceded in death by his daughters: the late Margaret “Peggy” Pangborn Hernlen, and the late Patricia Pangborn, son: the late William Charles “Bill” Pangborn.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Rev. Gaspar Hegedus as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
