“For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”- Philippians 1:21. Death is a great loss to a carnal and worldly man, for he loses all his earthly comforts and all his hopes: but to a true believer it is gain, for it is the end of all weaknesses and misery, it delivers him from all the evils of life, and brings him to possess the chief good.

Ann was a people person and had many friends of different ages. She loved calendars and looked forward to getting one every year. She was well known in the Montclair area, being a regular at the community pool and playing basketball at the community park. She was baptized at Lakemont Presbyterian Church in Augusta. Her grandfather, Phillip Guy White attended the service. Her grandmother, Eunice Sullivan White, had passed away in September 1970, before she was born in October. Her paternal grandparents were Georgia D. Johnston, Sr. and Sara Frances Turner Johnston McNeal, both interned at Westover Memorial Park. She attended Lakemont Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Church in America, PCA, Augusta, for as long as she was able to do so.
