Swoyersville, PA – Everett Matthew Black, age 2 ½ years old, died Friday, February 22, 2013 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Augusta, GA, son of Dr. Robyn Wirsing Black and Matthew Black of Swoyersville, PA and attended Little Tykes Learning Center. He loved Elmo, balloons, Christmas balls and swimming. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Donald Black and Linda Johnston.
Other family members include his maternal grandparents: Dr. Charles and Dr. Kim Wirsing of Augusta; step grandmother: Diane Black of Ottumwa, Iowa; aunts and uncles: Mick and Jackie Hernandez of Augusta; Dr. Deborah Wirsing of Eugene Oregon; Dr. Michael and Karen Black of Omaha, NE; cousins: Christopher and Caroline Hernandez of Augusta, Brandon and Morgan Black of Omaha, NE and great aunt: Wan Soo Kim of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Augusta with Dr. Jake Malone officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until the time of service at First Baptist. The family will also receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet and Son
