Fay Mehrhof
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, November 18, 2018, Mrs. Fay Irvin Mehrhof, 91, wife of 66 years to the late Richard R. Mehrhof.
Mrs. Mehrhof was born on a farm in Callahan, FL. She entered college at the young age of 15 and was the founding president of the Phi Mu Chapter at Auburn University. For 17 years she taught business math and typing for the Richmond County School System. Following retirement she volunteered for Meals on Wheels among other organizations. Mrs. Mehrhof played the piano beautifully and was an accomplished golfer. She enjoyed playing at the Augusta Country Club with her friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Family members include her daughter: Leslie Luckey (Robert); sons: Richard Ripley Mehrhof, Jr. (Jayne) and Clay Irvin Mehrhof (Jill); grandchildren: Allison Witherington (Adam), Emily Sheffield (Nick), Joanna Jones (Ray), Clinton Richard Luckey, Thomas Ripley Mehrhof, and Clay Irvin Mehrhof, Jr.; 8 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: Bob Hill; and sisters: the late Barbara Nichols and the late Marion Hill.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Storey Chapel of First Baptist Church of Augusta with Rev. Will Dyer and Dr. Tim Owings officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
