Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, October 10, 2015, Mrs. Faye McKinney Stanford, 68, wife of the late Mr. Gerald Herman Stanford.

Mrs. Stanford was born in Charleston, SC but spent most of her life in Augusta, graduating from Butler High School in 1965. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Augusta and enjoyed fellowship and travel with the Grace Sunday School Class. For 15 years, she was the co-owner and operator of the Clothes Hanger Consignment Shop. Mrs. Stanford also volunteered at Kane & Company Dance Productions. She enjoyed spending time at Clarks Hill Lake as a member of the Kampers Klub. Deeply devoted to her family, Mrs. Stanford was actively involved in her sons’ sports and enjoyed making memories with her grandchildren.

Family member include sons: Shawn Stanford and wife Lisa of Evans; Scott Stanford and wife Ashley of Statesboro, GA;Todd Stanford and wife Jessica of North Augusta, SC; grandchildren: Jared, Regan, Chandler, Blake and Bryson Stanford; sisters: Sheryl Hall and husband Bubba and Janice Duggar and husband Ricky; nieces and nephews: Brian Hall, Kelly Kane, Amanda Alford and Grant Duggar; mother-in-law: Nina Stanford. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her grandson: Dalton Stanford.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Augusta Storey Chapel with Rev. Greg DeLoach officiating. Interment will follow Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Brian Hall, Grant Duggar, Jared Stanford, Chandler Stanford, Blake Stanford and Bryson Stanford. Honorary pallbearers will be the Grace Class at First Baptist Church.
