Florence Chandler

Augusta, Ga - Entered into rest on Friday, December 23, 2022 at her residence, Mrs. Florence Johannsen Booker Chandler, wife of the late Andy Chandler. Other family members include her daughter: Mary Kathryn Dozier (Tommy); grandchildren: Anne Chandler Dozier, Thomas Dozier and Mason Dozier; brothers: the late Roy Booker, the late Billy Booker.

Florence was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta and a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County. She retired as deputy clerk of the Superior and Juvenile Courts of Richmond County. Florence loved her family dearly. Her daughter, son in law, grandchildren and granddogs were the light of her life . She was such a loving and caring mother, grandmother, colleague and friend. She loved the Lord and her church, St Mary on the Hill, and touched the lives of so many people. She will be truly missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

The funeral Mass will be Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. The service will also be live streamed at stmaryonthehill.org

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Mary on the Hill Catholic Church: 1420 Monte Sano Ave., Augusta, GA 30904 or Aquinas High School 1920 Highland Ave., Augusta, GA 30904.
