Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, July 8, 2012, Mr. Florence J. “Skeet” or “Mac” McClain, 76, loving husband of Annette L. McClain.
Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Mike McClain (Andrea) of Augusta and Tommy McClain of Athens; step-son: Larry Doyle of North Carolina; daughters: Joyce Hensley (Russell) of North Augusta, Beth McClain (Ricky) of Augusta, Susan Martin (Jim) of Martinez, Xaren McClain (Raul) of Danielsville, GA and Laurie McClain of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and sister: Hazel Huss of Champaign, IL. Mr. McClain was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Frank Mebane officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Martinez Baptist Church at 3632 Lynwood Drive, Martinez, GA 30907 or to The American Cancer Society at 2607 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909.
