Floyd Arthur Husk Jr. (82), known as "Opa" to many, passed away peacefully on July 28th, 2023. Surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Evans, GA. He was a devoted husband, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Born on April 25th 1941, in Parkersburg WV, Floyd, was the son of Mildred and Floyd Husk Sr. He proudly served over 25 years in the US Army, completing two tours in Vietnam. Throughout his life, Floyd wore many hats, excelling as a radio host, shoe salesman, furniture salesman, real estate broker, sheriff, and teacher. Besides being a true patriot, he was an avid golfer and a brilliant singer, Leaving behind a legacy of love and achievements cherished by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karin, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage, and two sons, Floyd and Marc. Floyd leaves behind his daughter, Belinda Harvey, daughter-in-law, Debbie Husk, grandchildren: Jennifer Welch, Amanda Glynn, Christopher Harvey, and Alexandra Harvey, as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Emily, Noah, Lillian, Landon, and Lochlan. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Skelly, and was predeceased by 5 siblings. His beloved dog Rudy will be relocating to London with Belinda.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. His service will be followed by a small brunch reception.
