Frances Faughnan Brown died on Monday, March 26, 2018 at home surrounded by family and the love of close friends.
Frances’ contagious smile and enduring spirit were gifts to everyone she knew and came into contact with. She had many friends that she loved deeply. Frances’ favorite color was purple and she loved celebrating holidays—especially her birthday. Born with a rare overgrowth syndrome, M-CM, Macrocephaly Capillary Malformation, Frances was only one in 239 diagnosed in the world. She is the inspiration behind the 501.C3 organization, “Friends of Frances”, founded in 2012 in her honor to assist children in the CSRA with medical equipment and therapies needed. Frances attended Lake Forest Elementary School and took great pride in attending school.
Frances is survived by her parents: Ashley and John-Clark Brown; sibling: John Thomas Brown, affectionately known as “brother”; grandparents: Reba Brown and the late John T. Brown, Eleanor Peterson, Tommy Peterson and Jane Diamond; aunts and uncles: Sutton and Christian Stracke, Alison and Stephen Brown, Kara and Sean Bastarche; cousins: Porter Stracke, Philip Stracke, and James Stracke, Miles and Grier Brown and Zoe Bastarche.
A funeral Mass will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Ross, celebrant. Pallbearers will be Walter Eubanks, Christian Stracke, Mathew Norris, Alex Wier, Douglas Nesbit and Jerod McDowell. Burial will be private.
