FRANCES CHENEY ALBERT
MARTINEZ, Ga. – Frances Cheney Albert, 55, beloved wife of Michael A. Albert and mother of Kathryn Dorothy Albert, died on March 21, 2015, at her residence. Fran made the Augusta area her home her entire life.
If you ever met Fran, you came to know her passionate nature. Fran passionately loved and cared for her family, her husband Michael and daughter Kathryn, and took extraordinary care of them. She was passionate about her friends and extended family, sharing time with them that was almost always loud and lively. She was passionate about the children she worked with, loving them as she helped them learn. And she was also passionate about enjoying life, having adventures, traveling, competing, having fun and sharing her opinions. Fran also had a great love of nature, especially her dogs and cats that were special family members. Fran died with a tremendous amount of love and passion left to share.
She found her calling with children, first with nurturing her daughter Kathryn and later through work in the Richmond County School System. She was called to be a Paraprofessional and especially loved her work with the wonderful students in the interrelated special education classroom at A. Brian Merry and her many cherished associates there.
Fran has two sisters, Charlotte M. Cheney, Pensacola, FL., and Peggy Cheney, Augusta, GA., many extended family members and friends that love and miss her.
The family thanks GRU Cancer Center, especially Christine Sanchez; Heartland Hospice, and especially Stephanie and Jeannie, for their compassionate care of Fran. Many thanks go to all of the family and friends that cared and supported Fran, Kathryn and Mike in many different ways during Fran’s illness.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Fran, on Saturday, April 4th at 1 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 N. Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809. A reception will be held immediately after Fran’s celebration at the home of Frank and Nancy Albert, 811 Lake Royal, Grovetown, GA 30813-9782.
