Mrs. Frances G. B. Slagle
Evans, GA – Entered into rest, Friday, May 11, 2012, Frances G. B. Slagle, 94, wife of the late Captain Lowell E. “Woody” Slagle.
Mrs. Slagle was born in Minter City, MS and moved to Augusta in January 2005. She was preceded in death by her first husband LTC Willis Eugene “Bill” Blum and her second husband Capt. Lowell E. “Woody” Slagle. Mrs. Slagle owned and operated Carlson Travel Agency in central Florida.
Family members include: son: Charles F. Blum of Sarasota, FL; daughter: Deborah Kay Stamper of Marietta, GA; stepchildren: Thomas D. Slagle, Sandy S. Slagle; 2 grandchildren: Morgan Wooton and Lisa Moschin; 2 great grandchildren: several nieces and nephews including nieces: Libby M. Wynn and Gloria M. Miller of Augusta. She was preceded in death by grandson: David Blum and stepson: Lowell Elwood “Woody” Slagle, Jr.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Brandon Wilde Georgia Room with Chaplain Mike Riddle officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends following the service at Brandon Wilde, Evans, GA.
