Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, October 24, 2016, Mrs. Frances Willene Parker, wife of 61 years to the late Raymond E. Parker.
Mrs. Parker grew up in Gracewood, Georgia and lived in Augusta most of her life before retiring to Burke County. She was retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital. She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Family members include her daughters: Dianne Parker Jarrett (Rusty) and the late Patti Parker Chavous; grandchildren: Russell Jarrett (Ruth), Ashley Rodwell (Chris), Rob Chavous (Lucy), and Kristen Smith (Tanner); great grandchildren: Caroline Mills Rodwell, Will Jarrett, Catherine Rodwell, and Sydnee Smith; sister Carolyn Taylor (Ronnie); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Wes Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Augusta Gardens for all of their loving care.
