Augusta, GA – Frank DeChiaro, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on December 7, 2021. He was the loving husband of Michele (Shelly) DeChiaro.
Frank was born and raised in Morristown, NJ, and has lived in Augusta, GA since 1996. He spent his entire career in the car business, following in his father’s footsteps who owned a Studebaker dealership in Morristown NJ. After running several car dealerships throughout the country, Frank owned and operated Automobiles of Distinction in Martinez GA for 19 years. Frank wrote a book titled "Automotive Motivators" on how to motivate your sales staff. He was a well-respected and admired car industry professional who enjoyed his lifelong passion for cars.
Frank was a humble man with a priority for family. He also loved animals, football and working in his yard.
Family members in addition to his wife Shelly include his daughter Marlene Dawson and her husband Sean, Frank's sister Shirley Buehler, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Candace DeChiaro.
The family will receive friends on Friday December 10th from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907.
