Augusta, GA – Fred Jenkins, age 76, entered into eternal rest to be with our Lord on April 17, 2015. Mr. Jenkins was born in Weaverville, NC and lived in California during his kids’ upbringing, but resided in Augusta since 1996 and attended Abilene Baptist Church. Mr. Jenkins is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Jenkins, and brother, Larry Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred, mother, Kittie and brother, Arthur Jenkins. Fred has three sons, Fred, Frank and Tracey Jenkins. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband and father who sacrifice so much for family. Fred served in the United States Army for 8 years, Airborne qualified and served during the Cuban missile crisis. Fred was a business owner, self-taught auto-diesel mechanic and truck driver logging millions of miles all over this great country. He loved studying God’s word and was a history enthusiast. He enjoyed working with leather and wood in his shop, building unique one-of-a-kind items, enjoyed by his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Abilene Baptist Church cemetery in Martinez with Rev. Bill Harrell and Rev. Terry Doss officiating.
