Martinez, Ga – Gabrielle “Gabi” Alexandra Velazquez went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2016, at the age of 18.
Gabi was a beautiful, loving, caring soul. The light she brought to those around her will never be replaced but will always remain in our hearts.
Gabrielle was born in Augusta, GA on May 13th 1998, where she attended Saint Mary on the Hill Catholic School and Aquinas High School. She was going to start the Spring quarter at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA.
Gabi is lovingly remembered by her mother: Onelia “Lala” A. Velazquez, father: David Kernaghan; grandmother: Margarete Velazquez; aunt: Heidi Hood; grandparents: Etlin and Sonia Velazquez; sisters: Shardonnay McPherson, Jazz Kernaghan and Ashley Wolkow; god-father: Albert Zaharia; and god mother: Gladys Negron.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Fr. Michael Hull officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

There will be a Candle Light Vigil Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the Lady Antebellum Park in Evans, GA.
