Gail Duffie Stebbins
Augusta, GA – Gail Duffie Stebbins entered into rest Thursday, June 14, 2012, Mrs. Gail Duffie Stebbins was the wife of Mr. Charles Clayton Stebbins, III. She was 57.
She is survived by her husband, her two daughters Mary Eleanor Stebbins and Catherine Ware Stebbins, her sister Suzanne Duffie Painter, and her niece Emily Suzanne Painter. She was the daughter of the late Mary Eleanor Watkins Duffie and Hubert W. Duffie.
Mrs. Stebbins was a lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a graduate of Augusta Prep, Converse College, and the University of South Carolina School of Law. She was the past president of the Augusta Junior League and a recipient of the Women of Excellence award. She was active in the American Red Cross. She was a practicing attorney and a member of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
A funeral mass will be Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Rev. Brett Brannen celebrant. Interment will follow in Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Wm. Byrd Warlick, James S. Murray, Nathan E. Huff, John Andrew Tisdale, David H. Hanks and Edward L. Speese.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 720 Telfair Street, Augusta, GA 30901 in lieu of flowers.
