Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, July 1, 2012, Mr. Gary Dan Brown, Sr. 66, husband of Mrs. Anna Brown.
Mr. Brown was a native of Chatham County GA but lived in Augusta for the last 8 years. He retired as a pipe fitter from the Local 188 in Savannah after 36 years of service. Mr. Brown was a member of Abilene Baptist Church where he served in the Sanctuary Choir. He was a loving husband and exceptional Christian step-father.
Family members in addition to his wife include step-daughters: Holly Dickey Golden and Leah Quinn Cates; step-son: Jimmy W. McCall; grandchildren: Breanne Leah Hall and Justin Cox and numerous other family members.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Abilene Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Harrell and Rev. Tommy Sunderland officiating. Interment will follow at Old Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Abilene Baptist Church Choir Members.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Abilene Baptist Church at PO Box 204167 Martinez, GA 30907.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
