Gary King

Entered into rest Saturday, June 1, 2024, Gary Randal King, 85, loving husband of the late Linda Green King.

Gary was a native of Fort Worth, Texas and veteran of the Naval Air Reserves. He was a loving husband of 56 years to his wife Linda while raising two wonderful sons. His early passion in life was to be a plumber like his Father and uncles. That desire and passion made him very successful in his career receiving many corporate promotions. For 18 years he made numerous moves throughout the US with his growing family at his side. In 1980 he opened a new company in Augusta where he would settle with his family for 41 years of his life. Throughout the years he enjoyed traveling with his wife Linda to various vacation destinations including the West Coast, Tahoe, Vegas, and the Caribbean. But his greatest desire was to play golf and really enjoyed being with his family and friends. 

Surviving family members include two sons: Jeffrey B. King (Linda) and Chad M. King (Carla) and a sister: Joan Leslie Storm (Jim). In addition to his wife of 56 years, Gary was preceded in death by his parents: Leslie and Pearl King and brother: Don Michael King. 

The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Bishop Garn Capps offi ciating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
