Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Medical College of Georgia, Mrs. Gayle Pittman Hicks, 65, wife of Elder Noah Max Hicks.
Mrs. Hicks was born in Savannah and a native of Augusta. She graduated from the Academy of Richmond County and was an active Red Hatter. Mrs. Hicks was an administrative specialist at MCG and homemaker. She was a member of First Primitive Baptist Church.
Family members in addition to her husband include her sons: Marc Lindskog of Mexico and Chip Hicks of Columbia, SC; granddaughters: Ann and Sarah Hicks; brother Carl Pittman and wife Patricia of Memphis, TN and a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers: Margaret, Barbara and Kim.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 4, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Elder Max Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
