Gaylord was perhaps best known for his prolific fundraising for a variety of charities, including the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, the Masonic Children’s Home of Georgia, and the Wounded Warriors Project to name a few. One of Gaylord’s favorite times of each year was Masters week; for 25 years he served as the head Gallery Official on Hole # 3. He built a wealth of life-long friendships during his time at the Masters Tournament.

Gaylord and Shirley loved to travel inside and outside the U.S. visiting wonderful family and friends. Gaylord loved the Lord, cherished his wife, his family, and his friends. He was a living testament of a life well lived--abounding in love and service.
