Martinez, GA – Mr. George Hughes Hardwick, 72, entered into rest Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

George loved his family and friends. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed country and gospel music. He will be greatly missed.

Family members include his brothers: Robert W. Hardwick and wife Donna of Martinez; Barna M. Hardwick and wife Susan of Augusta; nieces and nephews: Paula Watson, Natalie Lee, Angela Hardwick, Richard Murton, Stacy Stafford, Sue Bess, and Barna M. Hardwick, Jr.; and special friend, Nancy Craft.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Rodger Murchison officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
