George “Jackie” Jackson
Augusta, GA – Mr. George “Jackie” Logan Jackson, Jr., 59, entered into rest after fighting a long, hard battle with cancer for the past 8 years on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. He was the loving husband to his wife Mary Kay Jackson for over 29 years.
Mr. Jackson was born in Washington D.C. He worked for many years as a project manager with Ken Arthur and Associates. Jackie was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and play golf. He never met a stranger and loved to make others laugh.
Special thanks to all the caregivers and especially to his son, Logan.
Family members in addition to his wife include children: Logan Jackson, Rachel Jackson, and his 4 furry children; mother: Dutch Ann Jackson-Carr; brother: Robert Jackson (Charlene); sister: Lynn Jackson; brothers-in-law: Paul M. Thompson (Marcia) and Philip A. Thompson (Jenny); and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, George L. Jackson, Sr., and siblings, Linda Helms, Larry Jackson, Brenda Koukas, and Debbie Salmi.
The funeral service will be Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
