George Lever

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, June 11, 2023, Mr. George Gregory Lever, 68, loving and devoted husband of Sharon Lever.

George was a member of the Local 150 Plumbers and Steamfitters. He enjoyed fishing, fast cars, spending time with his family, he appreciated all types of music, and had an excellent sense of humor. Affectionately known as Papa and Great Papa, he was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters: Wendy Fava (Marc), Melissa Storey (Stanley), Tiffany Weldon (Robert), and Alex Lever (Joey); grandchildren: Hailey Edenfield, Kyle Edenfield, Austin Gresham, Jacob Gresham, and Emma Weldon; great-grandchildren: Jamie Odom and Maiyah Mozee; many other inherited grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother: John Wesley Lever; sisters: Theresa Wiggins and Sharlyn Redmond; and other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sadie Lever, and brother, Darrell Lever.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Robert Swiger officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kyle Edenfield, Austin Gresham, Jacob Gresham, Stanley Storey, Robert Weldon, Marc Fava, and Jamie Odom. Honorary pallbearer will be Joseph Fabiani.
