AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Friday, October 30, 2009, at University Hospital, Mr. George Robert Lee, 68, husband of Caroline B. Lee of Waynesboro.
Mr. Lee has resided in the Augusta area since 1975. He retired as owner and operator of Lee’s Tin Shop. Mr. Lee served in the U.S. Army for 7 years.
Family members in addition to his wife include his son: George M. Lee and wife Martha of Wooster, OH; daughters: Sheila Lee and husband Warren of Beech Island, SC, Jean Kernaghan of Augusta, Kathy Beggs and husband Allen of Martinez, Sarah Wentlein and husband Jerry of Waynesboro; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909.
The family will receive friends at the home of Jean Kernaghan, 202 Lakewood Dr. in Augusta on Monday, November 2, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
