Ms. Snell was a native of Pinetucky, GA. She was a Professor Emeritus of Nursing Education. Ms. Snell taught at multiple universities including Loyola University, Chicago, IL, Columbia University, New York, NY, Clemson University, Clemson, SC, University of Georgia, Athens, GA, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL and Valdosta State, Valdosta, GA where she was the Dean of the School of Nursing. Ms. Snell was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Ms. Snell was a loving and devoted aunt to niece: Mary Ann Poteet Owens and husband Billy; nephews: Joe Poteet and wife Melody, Dean Poteet and wife Charlotte; great nephews: Brad Poteet, Andrew Poteet and Trey Poteet III.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Michael Ingram officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1899 Central Ave., Augusta, GA 30904.
The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
