Augusta, GA – Entered into rest November 21, 2013, Gertrude K. Carn, 98, wife of the late George Lewis Carn.
Mrs. Carn was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, a member of St. John United Methodist Church and previously a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. She retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital.
Family members include daughters: Sibyl Anne Kellam of Augusta, GA, Peggy Gail Clardy (Bob) of Evans, GA; sons: Calloway Lewis Carn (Joan) of Appling, GA, George Arthur Carn (DeeDee) of North Augusta, SC; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and sister: Myrtice Fowler of Augusta, GA.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Ken Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers to include: William Carn, George Carn, Daniel Carn, Patrick Carn, Bobby Clardy, Jr., Jesse Key, and Tony Key.
