Mrs. Philpot was born in Charleston, SC but spent the majority of her life in Augusta, GA. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and loved her church family. Mrs. Philpot worked in many capacities over the years at the Augusta Orthopedic Clinic.

Mrs. Philpot is survived by daughter: Debra Metts; grandson: John Ryan Hensley (Kimberly); and great granddaughter: Arya Ryan; sister: Eleanor Mae Mertins; niece: Lauren Mertins Jones (Anthony); great niece: Anna Catherine Jones; brother and sister in laws: Gene Crooke Mertins, Linda Antopolsky (Steve), Nancy Torek, Robert Philpot (Felicia) and Tommy Philpot and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection with Pastor David Hunter officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church reception hall.
