Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, September 24, 2021, Mrs. Glenda Brown, 63, loving wife of Ronald Brown.

Glenda was a lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a charter member of Grace Fellowship and retired after 31 years as a bookkeeper with Columbia County Board of Education (River Ridge and Westmont Elementary). She was known as “Nana” by her grandkids and was a homebody. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed spoiling the grandkids and was very generous at Christmas. Glenda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her daughters: April McBride (Curt) and Ashley Tucker (Duane); parents: Billy Johnson, Sr. and Juanita Johnson; sisters: Cindy Taylor (Charles) and Tina Bishop (Chad); brother: Billy Johnson, Jr. (Cecilia); and grandchildren: Harrison McBride, Madison McBride, Zackary Tucker, and Elliott Tucker.

The family is thankful for Hospice Services of Georgia and the care that was provided by her two nurses, Sara and Tameka.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Paul Noe officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Doug Thompson, Kevin Taylor, Bobby Taylor, Harrison McBride, Blake Simpson, and Gary Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers will be her youngest grandsons, Zackary and Elliott Tucker.
