Mr. Meek is originally from San Francisco, CA. A Navy Veteran of 20 years, he then spent 30 years in Smithsburg, MD then relocated to Evans. He then later became an administrator for an electronics firm.
Family members in addition to his wife include: son; Gordon E. Meek II and wife Carole A. Meek: grandchildren; Lieutenant Commander Gordon E. Meek III and wife Eve M. Meek, Molly C. Meek: Great Grandchildren; Gordon E. Meek IV and Andrew J. Meek.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 7.00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Funkstown Lions Club, P.O. Box 53, Funkstown, MD 21734.
