Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, December 6, 2015, Mrs. Grace Jenkins Krome, 82, wife to the late Sharkey F. Krome.

Grace was born in Sardis, GA but has lived in Augusta most of her life. She was a loving and devoted mother of 5 who worked two jobs and went to nursing school so that she could give her children a better life. Grace worked at Gracewood State School and Hospital, Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home and retired from Georgia Regional in 1995. Grace was a member of Glenn Hills Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star Elizabeth Chapter.

Family members include her daughters: Tina K. Ogle and husband Mike, Judy K. Holton, Leah K. Lamb and husband Rusty; sons: Sharkey H. Krome, Steven T. Krome and wife Karen; grandchildren: Andrew J. Pritchett, James Edward Holton, Heath M. Ogle, Heather Grace Krome, and Steven Ryker Krome; great-grandchild: Kaylee Jean Ogle; sister: Jeanette Coward; and brother: James Eastmead. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Eastmead, sister, Louise Powell, brother, Marion Eastmead and grandchildren, Faith Ann Taylor and Hank Mitchell Ogle.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Ron McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
