Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, March 4, 2014, Mr. Gregory Len Fulmer, 55, loving husband of Joyce A. Fulmer.
Greg was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. As a young man he loved and excelled in Science and Math. Greg worked in Computer Operations for most of his career at SRS that lasted over 30 years. He loved working in his vegetable garden and experimenting in the kitchen. He was an excellent cook; the art of food preparation came naturally to him. Greg was a perfectionist in many ways.
In his younger years, Greg liked to camp and fish but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was very nostalgic. Greg will be remembered for his personality, his wit, and his dimpled smile.
Family members include his three stepchildren: Olivia Robertson, Lisa Newsome, John Newsome; sisters: Brenda A. Nickel , Nancy S. Fulmer; nephew: David L. Nickel, Jr.; and niece: Elaina R. Nickel. Greg is also survived by a large extended family, to include Aunt, Janie R. Maddox, and numerous cousins whom he loved and cared for dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father: Morris L. Fulmer; mother: Betty J. Fulmer; brother: Daniel L. Fulmer; and his niece: Jessica L. Fulmer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Bruce Eaton officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be John Newsome, Michael Merrick, Dustin Newsome, Jeffrey Robertson and John Willis
