Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at University Hospital, David Evans, 63, husband of Therese Battey Evans.
Other family members include: daughter: Helen Lee Evans, son: David Beechnor Evans, sisters: the late Dee Evans Davis, Sandra Evans Lully and her husband Philip.
Born in Augusta, David was the son of Helen Sheehan Evans and Tracy Lee Evans. He was a graduate of Boys Town and the University of Georgia. He was employed by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice as Juvenile Program Manager. He enjoyed his work, where he was respected and admired. He made a profound impact on many young lives and was devoted to his family and friends.
A vigil service will be held Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. and the family will receive visitors from 6:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 19, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Gerald Ragan celebrant.
