Harold Cross

Augusta, GA – Harold Walter Cross, 58, entered into rest August 5, 2010.

Married 34 years to Teresa Wilson Cross, Mr. Cross was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta. He graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1971 and received a BS from Augusta College in 1976. He worked at Johannsen’s Sporting Goods while in college. Mr. Cross’s 30 year career in the dairy industry began with Kinnett Dairy. He recently retired as district sales representative with Dean Foods/Pet Dairy. He was an avid golfer. Mr. Cross was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Family members include daughter Lauren Griffing of Augusta, GA, grandchild Elias Griffing, brothers, Victor Cross and Mark Cross. Mr. Cross is preceded
in death by his brother Jimmy Cross and parents Hugh and Marjorie Cross.

A Memorial service will be held Monday, August 9, 2010, 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Augusta with Dr. Rodger Murchison officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Johannsen, Ronald Strength, John Marks, Louis Walker, David Fields and Bill Godwin.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Cross Trust Fund c/o Georgia Bank and Trust, 3530 Wheeler Road, Augusta GA 30909.

The family will receive friends after the service in the Rotunda of the Church.
