Harold P. Dozier

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, Mr. Harold P. Dozier, 86, loving husband of 65 years to Mrs. Katharina “Kay” Dozier.

A native of Augusta, after high school Harold joined the Army where he served for 20 years as a sharpshooter, an MP and a practical nurse before retiring. He then worked as a nurse for Civil Service at the VA Hospital for 20 years before retiring a second time. A longtime country music lover with Kid Rock thrown in for fun, Harold enjoyed fishing, traveling, watching sports, especially Nascar and the news. Harold will be remembered as a man of few but always wise words who dearly loved his family.

Family members in addition to his wife include his granddaughter: Jamie Campbell (Grant); great grandchildren: Graham and Garret Campbell; niece: Joanne C. Dukes (David), several great nieces and nephews and many other loving family members. He was predeceased by his son Claude J. Dozier, his parents, and siblings.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Fr. Mark VanAlstine officiating.
