Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, April 27, 2015, Mr. Harold M. Outley, 84, husband of 61 years to Mrs. Bobbie J. Outley.
Mr. Outley was born in Greenwood, SC but lived in the Augusta area for most of his life. He was a member of Abilene Baptist Church for over 30 years. Mr. Outley raised his two sons to be electricians and was a member of IBEW Local 1579 for 60 years. He owned and operated Outley Electrical Company until his retirement. . He was a member of Augusta Boating Club and the Corvair Association of America. Mr.Outley loved his family and had friends all over the United States; he never met a stranger. He loved fishing and was an avid camper.
Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Harold M. Outley, Jr. and the late Michael Lee Outley; daughter: Sylvia Outley Clark (Gene); seven grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be Thursday at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Brad Whitt and Rev. Terry Doss officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gene Clark, Derek Clark, Larry Lord, Ted Boileau, Robert Sutton and Danny Fitzgerald. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the IBEW Local 1579.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 2708 West Terrace Dr., Augusta, GA. 30909
