Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, August 19, Harold Belton Peacock, Jr., PhD, 81, loving husband of 58 years to Carolyn Peacock.

Harold was a lifelong resident of Augusta, GA and a 1958 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1963 and from The University of Tennessee in 1970, with a PhD in Metallurgy. He retired from SRS with 35 years of service. He and Carolyn attended Wesley United Methodist Church. He was a member of the GaSCar Antique Car Club. Harold had a strong love for his grandchildren, antique cars, and traveling.

Family members in addition to his wife include his son, Paul David Peacock (Jennifer); daughter, Amanda Diane Green; grandchildren, Annagrace Peacock, Emmeline Peacock, and Kayla Green; and brother J.W. Peacock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Thelma Peacock.

The graveside service will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
