Ellington and husband Joe of Augusta; nieces: Amanda Atkinson and husband Bert and Laura Ellington; nephew: Jarrett Ellington; and great nephew: Everett Atkinson. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry M. Carpenter, Jr.
Private funeral services will be held.
