Hasellee “Lee” Stutts
Augusta, GA – Hasellee Graham Stutts, 91, wife of 65 years of James Stutts entered into rest on Friday, November 28, 2014 at her residence.
Lee was a native of Charleston, SC. She attended Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC. She met her husband Jim on a blind date while he was a student at The Citadel. They were married in November, 1949. They lived in North Carolina, Rock Hill and relocated in Augusta in 1964. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served on the Altar Guild. Lee also volunteered at St. Johns Towers and the Augusta Public Library Literacy Program. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. Lee thoroughly enjoyed entertaining in her home and laughing around the dinner table with family and friends.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters: Terri Stewart (Ralph) and Jan Adkins (Tom); grandchildren: James Stewart of Charleston, SC, Kate Adkins of Augusta and Taylor Adkins of Athens, GA; and longtime friend of the family: Bea Wiggleton.
A private graveside service will be Monday, December 1, 2014.
