Helen R. Fain
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, May 10, 2014, Helen R. Fain, 63, wife of James Austin.
Mrs. Fain was a native of Tucson, AZ but lived in Augusta, GA for the last – years. She graduated from USC Aiken, Cum Laude, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Mrs. Fain retired after 20 years of civil service as a Registered Nurse with the Veterans Administration Hospital; she then worked at MCG as the Clinical Data Manager and Quality Coordinator for BMT for a number of years. Mrs. Fain loved bowling, fishing, cruising and her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, family members include daughter: Suzanne Moore; son: Abel Jason Fain; step-son: James Austin, Jr.; and grandchildren: Christopher Moore, Gregory Moore, Ashlynn Fain and Haley Oliver. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Evangeline Ruiz and her sister, Irene Duvall.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. John Bartlett officiating.
