Augusta, GA – Mrs. Helen Kent, 81, went to her Lord surrounded by her family Wednesday, August 17, 2016.

Mrs. Kent was a native of Memphis, TN and 1952 graduate of Mt. St. Joseph. She attended nursing school and met the love of her life. She gave him seven wonderful children. Helen retired from the VA hospital. She was a full covenant member of the Alleluia Community for 40 years and a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Family members include her sons: Randy Kent and wife, Melinda, Joe Kent and wife, Kathleen and Pat Kent and wife, Becky; daughters: Debbie Terry and husband, Jim; Vickie Murray and husband Rob; and Kim Dresser and husband Jim; sisters: Carol Robinson and husband, Howie; Sarah Watkins; Hazel Orlando and husband, Bob and Martha Rachels; 23 perfect grandchildren; 6 perfect great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Kent was preceded in death by the father of her children: Bruce Kent and son: David Michael Kent; daughter in law: Theresa Kent and brother: William Forsmark.

A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Van Alstine celebrant. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

A vigil service will be held Friday evening at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church beginning at 6:00 P.M.
