Henry Albert “Beau” Mims
Henry Albert “Beau” Mims, 81, passed away at his home in Martinez on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. He was surrounded by his family.
Beau was a seaman in the United States Navy, earning the National Defense Service Medal and later retired from Lucent Technologies. Beau was an active member of the American Legion Post 63. He served as the Post Commander at one point and was selected Legionnaire of the year.
Beau leaves behind his loving wife Delores Duffield Mims; daughter: Paige Mims Korb; son: Bert Mims; step-sons: Mark Duffield and George “Rusty” Duffield; step-daughters: Kimberly Duffield Cantwell and Tammy Duffield Day; sister: Pearl Mims Johnson and brother: L.T. Mims, Jr. Beau is also survived by his true pride and joy-Harry and Joseph Kortick, Charles and Bethany Korb-his grandchildren. Beau is preceded in death by his parents, L.T. Mims, Sr. and Bessie Faircloth Mims.
A funeral service will be Friday, February 10, 2017, 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Brad Whitt officiating. Interment will follow at Old Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery
