Evans, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, July 19, 2018, Henry David Hammond, 73, loving husband of Linda Starling Hammond.
Mr. Hammond was a native of Athens, GA and raised in Atlanta. He was in the US Army during Vietnam and remained very patriotic. After serving his country, Mr. Hammond retired as a field engineer with Bechtel Corporation in 2000. Known as a man who loved his family dearly, Mr. Hammond also enjoyed being outdoors and woodworking or “Piddling” as he would say.
Family members, in addition to his wife include his son: David Austin Hammond; daughter: Elisabeth Staulcup (Brian); grandchildren: Carlee Dean Hammond, Cora Grayce Hammond, Jackson Henry Staulcup, Grayson William Staulcup and daughter-in-law: Kelly Hammond.
Services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Drive, Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
