Augusta, GA – Mr. Henry Leland Boykin, Sr., went home to be with His Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Mr. Boykin leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Dianne. He has been living in the Martinez, GA area for 38 years. He is the son of the late Leland Henry Boykin and the late Oralee Boykin.
Survivors are his beloved wife, Dianne R. Boykin; son: Henry L. Boykin, Jr. (Colleen) of Grovetown, GA; son: Thomas Alan Boykin (Lisa) of Graniteville, SC; a daughter: Margaret D. Brunner (Bryan) of Appling, GA; grandchildren: Blake Boykin, Blake Brunner, Brittany Boykin, Felicia Rachel Brunner and Audrey Dianne Brunner, Meagan Lichtenberg (Jason) and the late Daniel Lee Martin; and two great grandchildren: Noah and Jordan Lichtenberg; one sister: Mildred Hughes; one brother: Steve Boykin (Margaret) and one late brother: Robert Griner; 4 nieces and 1 nephew, 1 great niece and 1 great nephew, and his beloved canine companion “Boy” Buttons.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Rev. John C. Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Boykin, Jr., following the service.
