Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, July 29, 2021, Henry “Hank” Sherman O’Neal, Jr. 89, husband of the late Elizabeth O’Neal.
Hank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He devoted the majority of his life’s work to spreading the gospel of Christ by establishing printing presses all over the world for Bible translation and literature. In retirement, he enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and writing songs about Christ. Hank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Family members include his son: Kyle O’Neal (Sandy) of Augusta; grandson: Mitchell O’Neal of Augusta; granddaughter: Meredith O’Neal of Augusta; sisters: Darlene Jost of Colorado Springs, CO, Carol Howell of Stilwell, KS, brothers; Tom O’Neal of Balwin, MO, Ray O’Neal of Kansas City, KS. He was preceded in death by his daughter; Elizabeth Jan O’Neal Riley, and grandson; Jason Messer.
The graveside service will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles Stakely officiating.
