Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, April 12, 2011, Mr. Henry S. Mura, Jr. husband of Lorna Mura of Savannah Lakes Village, SC.
Mr. Mura also known as Bub or Hank was born and raised in Augusta. Mr. Mura graduated from Aquinas High School and received a BS in Civil Engineering from The Citadel. He retired from E.I. DuPont in 1998.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Missy Miller (Corey) of Lexington, SC, Rie Mura of Houston, TX, sons: Michael Mura (Christine) of Baton Rouge, LA, Mark Mura (Jennifer) of Houston, TX, 11 grandchildren, sister: Helen Mura Burke. Mr. Mura was preceded in death by his brother: William L. Mura and parents: Anna Chesser Mura and Henry S. Mura, Sr.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011, 11:00 AM at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Rev. Allam Marreddy officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sam Wakefield, Jerry Hatch, Pat Sheehan, Clyde Marsh, Billy Whaley and David Husbands. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Citidel Bulldogs 1962 Football Team.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909 or to MDS Foundation, 4573 South Broad Street, Ste 150, Yardville, NJ, 08620.
