Henry A. Smart, Sr.

Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, July 15, 2021, Mr. Henry Amon Smart, Sr., 83, husband of the late Mrs. Patricia Hensley Smart.

Henry was born in Augusta and attended Richmond Academy as well as the University of Georgia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Louisville. His work history was vast from being a superintendent and administrator of Edgefield County, SC, ending his career in Louisville, GA owning P&H Supply Co. with his late wife. Henry was a member of many associations from country clubs, coached Pop Warner football and Little League baseball, volunteer fire departments and several churches. Henry was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by two sons Henry “Hank” Smart, (Jennifer) of Atlanta, Steven Smart (Tammy) of Santee, SC; two granddaughters Shannon Smart of Greenville, NC and Caroline Smart of Atlanta; two step granddaughters April Hicks and Misty Wilhoit and several nieces and nephews along with a special friend Ms. Peggy Hollows.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 19, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Melchior officiating.
