Augusta, GA – Herbert “Herb” Euell Moore went home to be with his heavenly Father on September 13, 2023, at the age of 63.

     Herb was born on September 12, 1960. He was originally from Birmingham, Alabama, but lived in Augusta, Georgia, most of his life. He attended Augusta Christian Schools and worked as an owner-operator of an 18-wheeler for RAJOR Contract Carrier based in Ohio.

     Herb was a devoted member of Abilene Baptist Church for 40 years. He was known for his kindness and generosity. Everyone who knew him considered him a dear friend.

     Herb was preceded in death by his father, Thomas William Moore, his mother, Helen Louise Smith Moore, and his brother, Thad Thomas Moore.

     A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Abilene Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery. Kenny Atterton, Justin Bowman, Joey Lord, Michael Payne, Joe Passalacqua, and David Sims will be pallbearers. The Abilene Baptist Church Adult 3 Coed and Singles Sunday School classes will be honorary pallbearers.

     In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Abilene Baptist Church Benevolence fund.
